Sophie studied violin performance at the Royal Academy of Music with renowned soloist Lydia Mordkovitch. She graduated with an MA in Performance, an LRAM teaching diploma and the Sir John Barbirolli Prize for Chamber Music. She won a position in the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, and performs with many of the UK's leading orchestras, as well as recording with many artists of different genres. She feels really lucky to be able to combine a career performing in concert halls around the world with passing on her musical knowledge and expertise to the next generation of budding musicians. She leads Early Years Music workshops in settings around Liverpool, is a violin section coach at Liverpool Philharmonic Youth Orchestra, and is a private violin teacher to children of all ages.
